About the Speaker

“My name is Tania Garcia. I am Mexican but I have lived in the United States since I was 12 years old. I am currently an assistant to a doctor of family medicine and completed the last year of a nursing degree.

I am the mother of 2 girls. One of my daughters is autistic and thanks to her diagnosis I was also diagnosed 4 months ago. Since then I have dedicated myself to reading, educating myself, and learning as much as possible to help my daughter, find resources for her development, and at the same time learning about myself from scratch now from this new vision of autism.”
