About the Speaker

Danielle Ryer is an autistic woman from New Jersey. She holds two Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology & Philosophy and World Religions from Rowan University. She is a Master of Social Work student at Rutgers University, studying to become a licensed mental health therapist in the future. She has been a Crisis Intervention Counselor at Crisis Text Line for nearly 4 years. Danielle has a personal business supporting families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder, working as a coach and a group educator, lecturer, and educational panel participant. In addition to the mental health services she provides, she has also been a positive psychology and comedy radio DJ, podcaster, and stand-up comedian. On her radio show, Danielle would interview people about mental health, finding humor and meaning, and their work.
